Republican U.S. Rep. Markwayne Mullin says he voted against a bill to provide emergency relief funding for Superstorm Sandy victims because it included no offsets to federal spending. The $50.7 billion bill passed the Republican-controlled U.S. House of Representatives Tuesday night on a 241-180 vote. Mullin issued a statement saying there were “noble and worthwhile causes” included in the bill — but that he could not support it.
