For UFC middleweight Chris Weidman, 2012 was a breakthrough year for the Matt Serra product. Weidman easily had the two best wins of his career; a unanimous decision victory over Demian Maia in January at UFC on Fox 2, and a knee-buckling KO victory over Mark Munoz at UFC on FUEL TV back in July.However, with these two benchmark wins also came unnerving tragedy. As many know, Weidman was scheduled for a third fight in 2012 – a match against Tim Boetsch at UFC 155 – but suffered an injury and was forced to withdraw.
