It’s no surprise that sisters Barbara Martin and Kathleen Tomlin will soon find themselves amidst a group of volunteers, all with a common goal to help those in need.
Lifelong Las Animas natives and known for a commitment to their community and those in need, the duo, along with a growing number of local volunteers, will head to ground zero in New York state March 15-23 to assist in the clean-up still in progress following Hurricane Sandy, a storm which struck the East Coast Oct.
