The two NYC Transit employees who allegedly helped a transit boss snag an agency generator after Hurricane Sandy weren’t rank-and-file guys — they were managers, sources said.
Chief mechanical officer Gregory Lombardi was demoted — and had his pay cut in half — for allegedly taking an agency generator to power his home after the superstorm, the Daily News exclusively reported on Friday.
Sources said the generator came from the 207th St.
