Sunrise-based BrightStar Credit Union raised $21,133 to help the victims of Super Storm Sandy.One of the largest credit unions in South Florida with 50,000 members, BrightStar collected $11,133 from members and employees at its six locations in Broward County.BrightStar then added $10,000 for a total of $21,133.BrightStar donated the money to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund that provided storm victims with food, shelter, counseling and other needs.
