Volunteers and organizers began painting 3,000 stars today at Missouri Southern State University to encourage the recovery effort of Superstorm Sandy.They painted the base-coat of 100 of the Stars of Hope.The stars will be given to the Joplin “On Fire” for a service program to be sent off to areas hit by Sandy.Nationally, 10,000 stars will be made for the recovery effort.Organizers say it’s a way of showing those suffering that someone cares.
